Time has come &
I am letting go my William Optics star 71 II Quadruplet. This scope is rare and always out of stock. I bought it last year around March. Still has warranty from William optics. About 2 years from purchased date (Will include the warranty card).
Perfect for full frame as the image circle is 48mm which is huge. Includes with the original telescope Bag and a diagonal which cost around USD 135.
You don't need any focal flattener.
Telescope is in very good condition. Like new. No scratches, dents etc.
I have attached the Running chicken nebula i got selected for S&T Australia Magazine using this scope and qhy163m.
Some technical information:
● 71mm f/4.9 Imaging Refractor Telescope.
● FPL-53 glass for color free apochromatic performance.
● 4 elements in 3 groups (2-1-1- configuration; new, unique, patented design - not a conventional objective/flattener/reducer design).
● Covers 45mm full frame imaging circle.
● 2.5" dual speed R&P focuser.
● Includes mounting rings and Vixen style dovetail.
● Weight = 4.19 lbs / 1.9 kg (OTA only); 4.85 lbs / 2.2 kg (OTA with rings and dovetail).
● Focuser drawtube travel = 2.5" / 35mm.
I spent around $2250 which includes the import tax and shipment. I am letting go for around $1750. Save yourself $500. Prefer pick up. Can do postage at your cost.
