NGC1760 Super Bubble in the LMC now with added data

The Large Magellanic Cloud has quite a few interesting nebulas around it.

This one is quite a photogenic nebula.

Good to see you Greg being very productive and creative recently, with several great images

Colours look promising, higher resolution image will allow to appreciate finer details. I started working on the same target in January but did not get a chance to complete the photo. Maybe next year

Quite an interesting region in Ha, thanks Greg

Quick question, around some of the brighter stars, is it a diffraction ring or processing artefact?
They look like diffraction rings but I don't think I've ever seen them in a Ha image before

That's a processing artefact. Corrected now.

Very cool object, Greg! Star shapes are a little spiky? I would have been tempted to brighten up the red areas some more but your subtle approach is nice.

The Ha description says it was 10 x 10 mins. Was the time on Oiii and Sii similar?

Cheers,
Rick.

Perhaps a few of the stars are. Are you referring to the colour image or the Ha? I corrected a lot of that. This was from the earlier time before I had the tracking issue fully sorted so some stars were a bit off. Still that takes pixel peeping to notice as I thought I did a pretty good job of sorting that, perhaps I missed a couple? The Ha was processed as a stand alone image. The Ha downloads really stood out. Yes O3 and S11 are 70 and 80 minutes repectively. Pretty solid narrowband data for such low exposure time I thought.

Greg.

Ah huh! There it is ..not bad Greg, it's a great section of the LMC that.

Was the seeing against you? Comparing to the shot posted by Lucas, looks like the atmosphere might have been against you..?

Yes the seeing was a bit soft at times. It varied as usual.

The stars in the Ha look OK. It was the colour image where I noticed some slight oddness. It's only a minor nit and you do need to look closely. The big orange stars at the top of the FOV show it most clearly.

This is a really interesting object. I like your colour palette (very similar to mine ). It's on my list for the bigger scope if I can ever get a straight run at it. Even if the seeing was not good, you have a pretty reasonable view of the object.
