Any more sites?

Holy optics, Batman! ... Feel a bit embarrassed with my recent acquisition, a Tasco refractor (black; about a metre long; 3 eyepieces and barlows) but for 30 bucks at the local (Avalon) Salvo op shop I can't really complain. Only had one chance to use it so far ... daytime moon and I'm not sure if it's Tycho or Plato I'm checking out. Whatever, looking forward to reading some serious stuff here. I'm a regular APOD reader and wondering if there's any other sites I should be checking out.
Cheers
Bob

Try this one: www.skyandtelescope.com
Follow the links in the pulldown menu on the left, esp. under Howto and Observing.

Welcome to IIS houston, you'll find plenty of good reading right here. You may want to try http://www.skymaps.com/ for a free map of the night sky and a list of targets suitable for your equipment.

Wecome to IIS, Bob!

Point that Tasco at Saturn soon after sunset (low in the northern sky) and Jupiter (the brightest thing up all night).
