Just a quick hello from a long time lurker doing his bit for the 1000 members count.
Although a mate of mine has been a very enthusiastic amateur astronomer forever, I have only recently taken more than just a passing interest. (Having children with a keen interest also helps!)
I purchased my "Mighty Mak" last Christmas and am really pleased by the quality of the optics.
From my lurking I see many members have large Dob's and SCT's. I would be interested to see how many Mak owners are out there and what they like (or not) about these scopes.
