I’m selling my much loved Meade LT-6 ACF. It’s a 6 inch F/10 SCT, a great all rounder. This is an "Advanced Coma-Free" (ACF) model that has flat field/coma-corrected optics (same as Celestron’s EdgeHD) and Ultra High Transmission coatings (UHTC). It’s GOTO mount uses the Meade Audiostar hand controller (30,000 object database) that plays audio recordings for about 500 objects. It’s a great informative feature but can also be muted.
Powered by 8 C-size batteries or an external power adapter (12V/5A). It’s a quality GOTO mount that uses 4.875” diameter worm drives. It can be connected to a computer via the handset serial port or even wirelessly with an adapter (I’ve used a bluetooth adapter with SkySafari that worked really well).
Comes with a red-dot finder, 25mm eyepiece and a few home-made extras like a bahtinov mask, solar filter, and dew shield. I also have the original box for safe storage and transport.
It’s always been kept indoors, and has been well looked after (note that what looks like a scratch on the glass in one of the photos isn't - it was just a hair or something). I’ve been exploring other/bigger scopes for a while so this is just not getting used these days. It may as well be bringing joy to someone else
