SW collapsible dob

Is a 12" collapsible dob to heavy for a eq6 pro.I think the weigh 21kg.Whats the disadvantage of a colapsible over a standed dob?THANKS

I doubt that you could fit dovetail and rings to a collapsible dob type OTA, not easily at least. Remember that the ota needs to be able to rotate to get the focuser at a convenient angle.

you nailed that one on the head. the thing with GEM's is they put the ep at a really crappy angle, so you sometimes need to move it around. plus it wont mount straight because the poles are not right

There was someone recently who had a lightbridge on an EQ wasn't there? Don't know how well it worked though?
