Big Chill

The southern part of Oz is in a big chill at the moment.
Rowena must be freezing up in the Snowy Mountains!

Here I am like a big kid out enjoying the snow this morning. (It is still snowing and getting heavier!!)

Wow! it looks like a blizzard, Ken. I wanna go scoping this weekend to the Otways, to show some of the highlights of the Southern skies to a friend of a friend visiting from Italy. It might be too cold though. I don't like the prospect of frosty optics.

The weather report said it might snow in Melbourne this afternoon!!!!!
First time for many, many years.

Hobart is supposed to have snow at sea-level today!! so Tom will be in the thick of it.

I'd like to experience snow for a day and then never see it again I think.

This country is such a contrast of climates from north to south.

We seemed to have missed most of the snow down in the NE Tas area, just a sprinkling on the mountains to the east, maybe tomorrow. This is what it looks like after a reasonable dump on the mountains.

That's a pretty picture Phil.

Looks like one of those ones they use for Jigsaw Puzzles.

And NO ellex & Dave! that's not one of my fangs or an icicle.

Yep it got really cold up here on Moday night too ... must have been 15 deg Min out at the Garma Festival, a big festival held by the local Yolngu people.
A great night of local Culture topped off by a performance by "Yothu Yindi" a local band from here that has been know to do the odd world tour or 2.
