Finally got 1 clear night after about 13 weeks of clouds and of course had the bonus of a full moon .my goal was to end up with a blue bubble and the rest gold . Slowly getting there. First time using the zwo EAF and was quite impressed . Comments more than welcome.

nice detail and I like your colouration. I recently bought an EAF as I needed an autofocusser that would fit the coarse focus side of my APM130... the fine side has slippage and my sesto focussers only work on that side... I must admit I am very impressed. I read a lot about backlash etc, but have found it light, very simple, it just works and with say 25 set for overshoot backlash in NINA it's all good on the focus curve.

Hi Robert
I actually had the same problem my backlash was over 200 steps on the fine adjustment side . I pulled the focus assembly off and the 4 grub screws that apply pressure on the rack and pinion weren't set properly .The 2 grub screws on the fine focus side were screwed in two far so the rack and pinion were not mating properly. I now have a backlash of 30. Works a treat now .

Machined EAF flexible coupling

Forgot to mention that I had to machine the outside of the flexible coupling as well as it would rub on the focuser body when turning . I just put a small bolt down the centre hole and tightened it to compress the flex and machined it in the lathe
