Smile My best Saturn from 16th

Hi folks,
Well I have learned a lot the last few weeks about this planetary imaging and with some help (yes you know who you are ) I am capturing and processing my avi`s much better. Seeing was very nice especially just after midnight on the 16th. This is a stack of around 900 out of 2200 from the best avi. Seeing was extra steady in this one.. and progressively got worse afterwards..Managed some jup ones later in the morning but the seeing was getting closer to average..

I am ver happy with this one and shall be hard to get a better one with my little 6" newt.
Comments/advice most welcome...
cheers Gary

Very nice image Gary!

I can't get anywhere near that sort of resolution or details from my 5" Newt using Afocal adaptor and a Pentax 7MP camera at 250x so it seems that I am going to have to sooner or later upgrade to the process of Prime focus so that I can get some decent shot of the planets.

If I can get any where near this quality, I will be VERY happy and won't chuck the Skywatcher out for a long time.

Cheers

Chris

Nice - looks very similar to what I was seeing through the eyepiece a couple of weeks ago. Your image has a few more bands though.

Excellent image Gary for only a 6" scope.
Huge image scale and there is lots of detail showing.
Well done.

Nice and sharp Gary, the rings look great with some top detail in them as well.

Thanks doug! I had a peak through the eyepiece as well before I imaged and could see CD and the major banding quiet easily...awesome!

Sharp as a tack. That's one well made instrument you've got there.

I much prefer the look of it at the original size. Its nice and sharp that way. Much more blurry and pixelated in the 200% resize.
