Hotel Ngarigo

Hi All I posted these a few days back on the CAS list. Ngarigo is about 10km north of Thredbo, altitude 1200m, temp probably about minus 6 when these were taken at about 10.30 pm. There was a bit of low cloud about the ranges spoiling the view. The light in the Ngarigo South shot is from Thredbo. Colours loose a bit in these compressed jpgs. Anyway I hope you like them.

Thanks all for your comments. I did spend the night in the 'hotel", but I had dinner and wine with a friend in Thredbo before setting up the pics. So the camera and battery were "warm". The temp did not affect the camera while I was taking the pics, but the operator was definitely a little slower than usual due to the wine. regards

Nice work, I often find a nice red wine helps with creativity and keeping warm. Responsibly of course

Great shots.. and the stars really blew out nicely with that thin cloud cover in the landscape oriented one! Good job. Usually by the time astrophotography hours roll in I'm dealing with beer goggle issues too

Amazing shots !
Looks a bit like the Kilimanjaro shots with the difference that it there is *much* colder despite being nearly on the equator.
