NGC 2867 in the Southern Constellation of Carina .Taken with 110 lights at 5 secs .19 Darks , no flats or Bias. Optolong L-Pro Filter. Edit in Star Tools Total of 9 min 10 sec.The Astrobin version is less cropped than this one . I couldn't make my mind up which one I prefer .
On Fools day 1834 John Herschel discovered this Planetary Nebula. John was almost fooled into thinking it was a planet.
Hence the named I have called it
I note it has a similar colour to Uranus???A quick search of Astobin found no other images of this celestial wonder so, is it rarely imaged?
. Enjoy
