A work in progress

Last night I got only 18 mins on NGC 3576 before low cloud rolled in and put an end to collecting any further data. I was hoping to get around 1 hour of UVIR cut filtered data so that I can add some star colour to the Multiband filtered shots I plan to shoot when the weather improves. Despite the short integration time I think I have enough star colour to make it work.

Equipment used was an 8 inch f5 Newtonian, unguided on a Heq5 mount with a modded Canon 550d. 27 x 40 sec subs @ 1600 iso.

She is definitely there! That’s great for 18 minutes. Looking forward to seeing it once you’ve got more data.

Nicely done Mick / star colours are great and a beautiful star field to view. Some nebulosity evident for the short intergration, don’t let the clouds beat you, this has heaps of potential,
Anth
