Hi all,
I have just renewed my hunt for a webcam or CCD video camera to do webcasting with. The renewed interest is because I have stumbled across a service that will allow me to operate my own astronomy TV station, and even broadcast the images in high definition (
www.lightstream.com).
I have been using a Phillips Toucam Pro to upload static images of the Moon, and would like to broadcast higher resolution ones than it is capable of. I would also like to do slightly longer exposures than it allows for.
The closest I have found so far is the Gstar video camera. The catch with it though is that it won't plug directly into a computer. You have to use a capture card to grab and then press an image THEN upload the static image. I need something that has the features of a Gstar but is recognised by the computer as a standard video camera.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Paul Floyd.
