Neq6pro connection problems.
When I hit connect in cartes du ciel, the usual box with the n.e.s.w. and park etc comes up with a mostly white interior and then times out...... hhheeelllpp

Possibly a cable or com port issue?

I'm thinking cable, com port is ok.
Pulled apart the plug that fits the mount and its fine.
Usb end looks a bit 'old' but seems to bring up no adverse signs. Rs 232 looks ok.
Reinstalled 6.1 platform

Bought new cable.
Updated platform
Did I miss anything?
Mount works fine on handset.
Tried changing com port
Searching for com port in toolbox setup says not found but it did that before.

To confirm the COM port:
1. Unplug the mount from the computer.
2. Open device manager and expand the serial ports section. Note the existing ports.
3. Connect the mount to the computer and switch its power on.
4. See if a new serial port appears in the device manager.
If a new serial port does appear, that is the mount COM port. Try setting this port manually in the settings.
If it does not appear check cables and mount power. Swap USB port on the computer. Try a different computer. That's all I can think of.
Also the latest ASCOM is 6.3 (from memory). Slim chances but upgrading may help.

Worked instantly.
I wonder why the old one died.

Likely a broken wire or poor contact at a pin connection, You can try testing continuity of each wire to see if one is broken, while pin contact is trial and error to get a good connection. Mark
