On Saturday 4th December 2010 the Astronomical Society of Victoria (ASV) is hosting their 20th Star-Be-Cue at their dark sky site a little north of Heathcote (about 1-1/2 to 2 hours drive from the Melbourne CBD). The Star-Be-Cue starts at midday (there are events being run during the day including solar viewing) and the Lions Club will be on site selling BBQ munchies, drinks and ice creams.
You can get further details by downloading the flyer here

You don't have to be an ASV member to come to the Star-Be-Cue (it is one of two `open' events the ASV holds each year, the other is the Messier Star Party held around March). Entry is free for children under fifteen and by gold coin `donation' for people fifteen and older.
