8th Feb Large sunspot

8th Feb.There is a nice large sunspot group AR3576 that is currently travelling across the Sun's disc (E to W). I measured it this morning at approx. 145,000 km across x 72,400 wide. The first and second images shows it and the other sunspots at 540 nm. The third image shows the eastern sector of the Sun and AR3576 at H alpha (656 nm) wavelength. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d. Thanks for viewing.

Has been interesting watching AR3576 rotating into view online. Would love to view it personally but the dreaded east coast cloud is in the way again. May get a reprieve in the next few days, fingers crossed.
Thanks for keeping the images coming JW.
