Thanks to all for your help. I've ordered a mono ASI 183mm Pro cooled, along with a filter wheel. It's on it's way! Now I just need some filters. An LRGB set will be next, then some narrow band filters for nebula.
Start with the LRGB as they're not too expensive. In time you go Ha, then OIII and finally SII. You want Ha for HaRGB and then OIII for bi-colour and then SII for Hubble

That's the plan!

So what made you go with this instead of say the asi1600 - sensor size alone or something else ?
Sorry for the delay in responding guys. I've been in hospital for a few days with the flu.
Chris, sensor size and price basically. I think the sensor size will suite the telescopes I have and for the small objects with the larger scopes. With 20mp I should be able to bin pixels with longer FL and still have a high res image if needed. I should also be able to do some planetary IR.
So many options, so many things to try with a mono. I can't stop thinking about it. Meanwhile, the camera has been stuck in customs in Brisbane since the 24th. What are they trying to do, breed it or something? Gimme my camera!
I'm taking my time with this little beasty. I've read all the threads on CN so I know I'm in for it lol. Gonna start off with a small refractor and work my way up. I WILL make it work for me. Heaven help me!
Be useful to have a UV/IR cut filter (aka Luminance), as it’ll pick up signal well into the IR wavelengths. Broad Ha on you’re newt should be pretty interesting too
You’ll have the beastie going in no time, I’m sure!

Yeah I noticed it's very IR sensitive Dunk when I was looking at the trees down the back through the scope. A Baader UV/IR cut filter soon fixed that.

Well I wanted it from Bintel but they didn't have any, though they could order one in. So I did something I probably shouldn't have and ordered it from Agenaastro in the USA. Unfortunately the GST bit me on the bum, along with a $90 handling fee at customs because it was over $1000 AUD. But I did get it fairly quickly. Would have worked out cheaper at Bintel.

Okay thanks, I was planning on getting from Bintel so good to know.

They can be purchased direct from ZWO, and delivery is pretty quick. I believe ZWO offers a Fed Ex type service as well. It would not avoid GST but is probably quicker than USPS from Agena Astro, and might save clearance time as well. Bintel can backorder them, they seems to sell out of recent arrivals pretty quick. I get the feeling that Bintel is trying to avoid holding stock on these cameras. They claim 2-3 weeks on backorder but you can get them from ZWO direct in one week I believe.
Agena Astro was very quick Glen. Only took a couple of days from the USA to here. The biggest stall was customs sending me a letter in the snail mail telling me they had my package. From that point on everything was electronic and progressed rapidly.
