My favourite band of all was the Maynard Ferguson Big Band in all it's re-incarnations. Found this on you tube... Funk, screaming trumpets, trombones what more could you want...fabulous bass player!

A lot of Trip Hop lately (various artists on Pandora) plus a fair bit of Olafur Arnalds - an Icelandic multi-instrumentalist

Refugee by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

I like this thread . I remember starting one that was similar but it got canned and I got told off by the admins based on the reason that people will post to get their post count up...bit confused why that was treated differently

Metronomy - English Riviera
Also on Vinyl

Hard to classify, but the first vid, 'The Look' is kind of a mix of pop and a dark haunting carnival organ sound, dunno why but it works for me. I would never have thunk it, but the organ 'solo' works too!
The female drummer works for me too
The third vid 'She Wants' reminds me of Gary Numan a bit.

John and Vangelis - Friends of Mr Cairo

.......... also on VINYL glorious VINYL.

I just set up the turntable toady after not having it operational for a decade or so. Sounds so nice, so sweet even with the odd pop or crack. Ah .. be still my beating heart.

Simon,

I also dig Metronomy. I saw The Bay on Rage a while back and fell in love.

Chicane - Giants - Middledistancerunner.

I feel like I'm travelling through european countryside on a train at 350km/hr. Shame I'm stuck in an office struggling to concentrate on work. Ahh memories.

Talking My music

Well i don't know if you guys would know but when im outside looking at the stars I put a bit of Hardstyle music (Dance Music) quietly even though it is a loud type of music. Im 15 so you guys that are older probably would think what the hell is up with this kid.

Some of the songs have a dreamy feel to them. Thats why i put it on hahaha

If you want to see what type of music i listen just look up this song : 2 Best enemies-Phases (TBY Romatic Mix)
