I puchased this album on release and while I concede that it is 'tight' etc etc, it lies quietly amongst my collection (>1000<2000) and doesn't get much of a run. Perhaps I just missed something?

Helmet of Gnats

Not nearly as annoying as it sounds.

Oh, and found another 'astro song' on the album - Chimps in Space

I have just dug out my copy of 'Woodstock' (Eva Cassidy version). JJJ's signature quote had the tune rattling around in my head over the last week.

A few minutes ago I was listening to Chopin's Polanaise Militaire as a background to a time lapsed video of the night sky from dusk to dawn in Stellarium from a script I wrote to demonstrate the ability of stellarium to play sound and video from within the program.

A Southern Boobook owl about twenty metres away up in a tree, its been going now for a about an hour, lovely sound in the Blue Mountains night air. Nice night up here, not cold, clear sky, southern cross setting and that typical Australian sound, Spring is here

http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/bird...-40-Bird-Songs

sometimes its nice to just sit and listen to the night.

The Strat Pack, Live in Concert. So much talent, well worth a listen.

ABC local radio, 774 Melbourne - streaming. Thank goodness for no data limit on my home broadband, otherwise finding English-language radio would be a challenge.

Heroes - David Bowie - except this version is performed by Adrian Belew and Martha Wainwright on an episode of RockWiz. It's not perfect but I prefer this version to the original.

Giacinto Scelsi: Quatro Pezzi (astonishing Italian composer who, after a mental breakdown, wrote pieces based on single pitches, including the overtones of those pitches and various microtonal fluctuations). As awe inspiring as the night sky (clouded in Brisbane at present). His music was used a little in "Shutter Island".
