Little known NGC 3199 AKA Banana Nebula sit just above the Carina Nebula. Doesn't look like a Banana but years gone by the limited view would of seen the bright regions of the nebula shaped like a Banana. This is 11 hours of data shot through 533MC pro using an Askar V at 80mm aperture, flattener, FL 495mm, F6.18. Processed in Pixinsight HSO Foraxx. L-ultimate filter

When the fainter outer section of 3199 is revealed like this, it does closely resemble the, more commonly imaged feature, Sh2-308 in Canis Major, also a WR bubble, nice job

I had a look in Stellarium for this object and it’s certainly a small faint nebula , you have to zoom in quite a bit to see this little gem
You’ve done extremely well to expose so much detail with a smallish scope relatively short focal length with a OSC dualband set up.
Was this captured under dark skies or Sydney’s horrible Skyglow ?

I took this at home in Sydney. I live in Bortle 4 east to Bortle 5 Zenith, then Bortle 6 west. (near the coast). the L ultimate at 3nm is pretty good with the askar v triplet optics.
