APM 120mm ED APO Bino-telescope 90* viewing

For sale is my APM 120mm SD-APO Bino telescope.

The BT was purchased new from APM Germany and arrived earlier this year. I simply haven’t used it as often as I thought I would due to weight and portability. I also have the APM 100, and Kowa Highlander 82’s so they get used a heck of a lot more than the 120mm BT unfortunately.

The BT takes any 1.25” astro-eyepiece. I can confirm it comes to focus with the Doctor 12.5’s, any TV, any Pentax XW, and any Vixen LVW eyepiece. I currently use it a Pentax XF 8.5mm eyepiece for 77x magnification.

BT comes with APM’s highly rated 18mm Ultra wide angle eyepieces - they are rated to be as good as the Pano 19’s.

Specs & description are straight from APM’s website:

This spherical excellently corrected 2-lens (rear lens OHARA FPL 53 SD) air gap SD APO binoculars provides extremely high contrast. The color correction, contrast and transmission just as good as other Japanese glasses, that cost significantly more. In the basic equipment we have included 1 set 18mm eyepieces.

Are integrated sliding dew shields with front cover plate, a carrying handle with sighting device, a photo tripod adapter with 3/8 "thread connection and 2 eyepieces with 37fold magnification.

To keep the weight to a minimum, the binoculars housing is made of magnesium alloy.

I’ll also include the APM Red Dot Finder which is designed on screw onto the handle of BT.

Its important to note this BT can take mags well about 100x. It comes with a Wellenform (optical lab in Germany) certificate certifying collimation to 110x using 3-6mm Nagler Zoom eyepieces.

Foot at the base of the BT has 3/8_16” and 1/4” fittings so can be used with any standard video/fluid head. I use a Cartoni Focus HD head and Manfrotto MK1612B tripod for this particular setup for stability.
