I agree.. i'd actually prefer if we had a "what telescope should i buy" article written locally to put on the site locally..

But it requires someone to do all the writing work.. and i don't have time.. i still have to do the EQ platform review, a how-to for using registax, and many other things

i am still planning to write one in the next few weeks. i will be scanning the threads for quotes and eyepiece suggestions etc

As you can see, I seem to have acquired pretty much one of every type of telescope that is usually recommended to beginners. I've been toying with the idea of writing a comparison article (written, naturally, with inimitable pith, wit and wisdom). If I get it down, I'll send a copy to you, Mike, to see whether you deem it worthy of a spot on your cobweb.
