More VX issues

Don't know if the dodgy controller somehow corrupted the mount itself or if the mount always had issues that were being masked by the controller but now i get keep getting an "error 17 invalid model" error. Needless to say not impressed. Going to call andrews when they open.

Maybe the mount being named after a nasty nerve agent should have been a sign.

Did the mount work properly prior to the firmware update?

I never really had an opportunity to try between work and poor weather but it seemed to, although i can't rule out a preexisting fault.

There have been few faulty new VX's mentioned here and on CN, mainly electronic faults and one mechanically defective mount. You may need to return the mount head to Andrews so they can track down the faulty component.

I've been very happy with my VX and you'll probably like yours once the problem is sorted.

Yeah I've already sent it in to Andrews to have a look at. I wasn't aware of the other fault reports.

Hope it works out for you Julie. Mine just needed to have the motor control board replaced and is working fine. Now it's just the user that's the limiting factor.
