Interesting object near X Car

While browsing through my older images, I found one from 2017, taken with Canon 400mm FD + (modded) 450D, stack 16x60 sec, ISO1600.
The area is around X Carinae (1st image, at the upper left corner), and on the right side of the frame interesting object is visible, so I thought it may be good to explore it in greater detail.

Last night, I took the stack 73x15 sec, with C11+FR, Canon 60D (modded) @ISO12800.

I couldn't find more info on this nebula (not that I REALLY tried..), except on this link, it is visible on the right side of the frame: https://astropixels.com.au/gallery/W...r_20220615.png.

Hi Bojan

It looks like NGC 3247. Here is an EAA observation of mine from May 2022 of the same object. ED103S scope with ASI385 OSC - 40 X 15.0s subs for 600s total exposure and Gain200

The bright orange star to the lower left is HD 90289. X Carinae is just outside the FOV of my image.

Not NGC 3247, wrong side of Carina. It's nebulosity surrounding the open cluster NGC 3572, situated between the Wishing Well Cluster & Statue of Liberty. I believe the actual nebulosity is GUM37 (The Southern Tadpoles).

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Steve,
It is not NGC 3247, it is something else, see attached chart (my frame is marked as red square on the right)..

It seems there are many similar objects in that area..

Nicely captured and processed.

The object looks like it might be a Nebula according to the SIMBAD Database.
[H53] 54 -- Nebula
Other object types: GNe ([H53])
ICRS coord. (ep=J2000) : 11 12 00.0 -58 48 00

Here is a crop from Aladin Lite via SIMBAD.

Cheers

Best I could find on astrobin, is this above the southern tadpoles?

Also from Stellarium area where the yellow target is mid bottom right in the squared area.
