Late season LMC

Late season LMC
Captured in January this year with STT8300+CanonLens@70mm on CGEM, it’s about 10h of Ha+LRGB. I have images of the same frame taken with 60Da and the image of the LMC seems to have a lot of blueish-grey colour, so, although it was tempting to blend them together, this is only STT ..

Hi, Ian,

What I can see of it in the 200K version is really, really good, but the high res version seems to be the same resolution as the 200K version. I'd love to see a bigger version f there is one.

Best,
Mike

Thanks Geoff & Mike.
I’ve changed the setup of the picture in the google-blog from XL to ORG, that’s the best I can do at the moment. When I’m back home I can try to re-upload it again .. and hope that it will not be changed by a machine ..

Looks like a very nice LMC, Ian, but I also vote for a higher res version

Looks good Ian.

Some very nice detail and I like the composition.

How did you mount the lens to the ccd?

Ross.

For some reasons the google-blog changes the resolution, so the full version is here:

You can get STT-to-Canon adopter from SBIG ..

I found the Canon 70-200mm EF F4L lens to be almost a perfect match with the STT-8300 camera, also through NB filters !!!
