Which tak is the best?

I know this is a question entirely based on opinion, but which is your favorite tak? and what makes it the BEST?

The next one, the previous one...in other words, all of them.

Having said that, the only Tak I don't like is the FS-60

I have owned 2 Taks. A TSA120 and an FC-100DF.
My favourite is the FC-100DF. It is the shortest of the FC-100 variants, and very light weight. I find the image more vibrant for want of a better word, than the TSA, but that may be personal preference. Both scopes show essentially perfect images, with no visible CA.

Optically Taks are better than most other brands though some individual Chinese sourced samples can be as good. The difference between 0.92 and 0.97 strehl may not matter for most applications anyway.

My favourite is a well cared for, used Tak; new is too expensive.

No complaints about my TSA 102: it certainly blew my old Williams Megrez 110 ED away! I also remember being underwhelmed by a Tec 140 in terms of clarity/sharpness of image, compared to the TSA (although in fairness it was under slightly different conditions)...

If anyone wants to give me different Taks so I can compare their relative merits I am more than happy to give it a go!

Lewis: what did you find wrong with the FS-60? Just interested...

That question is far too wide open.....
I don't have a lot of experience with Taks but if I had to have just one scope then it would be the TOA130NFB .
The views through is are simply perfect.
It has enough aperture to give nice views of brighter DSO
It is superb for lunar and planetary views (Mars, Jupiter and Saturn)
Still portable enough, though not a lightweight.

Takitis is an illness, thankfully I have the new TSA120 and FOA-60 to help me cope.....

I have a TSA 102s,it's nice and light and image perfect. I also have a TOA 130 and it is just stunning. So my pick if you have the money is the TOA.

Never used their refractors but their Epsilons are damn good

But for sheer dominance of the field, a TOA150 is the bomb!

Some may seem better than others to different people but they, the TAK,s are just perfect, I still cry at the lose of mine some years ago.

And that was a FSQ-106 Quadruplet
