"Candles by the Beach" An Aurora from Balnarring

Hi Astrobunnies.

Yet another Solar storm hit us today so I drove to Balnarring beach and snapped away to my heart's content. I did play around with the white balance settings and I was happy with the result, I hope are too.

Visual

Yes David you could, actually you could see the curtains as well. The intensity was rather strong you could see the curtains dancing across the southern sky.

Great work Paul. Disappointed I don't make the trip to the coast now (1.5hrs) wasn't sure if it was going to be strong enough to reach us in Vic

Great work Paul A bluer WB does bring out the greens in an aurora a lot more. I generally don't like to go that blue for my night scapes but for aurora shots I do.

White balance.

Thank you everyone for your comments.
So good to see so many images on this forum too.
Greg yes the white balance I used was flurescent warm.
I was surprised how well it enhanced the green. I tried many combinations but was happiest with this. As a result I couldn't make a time lapse.
Regards Paul
