First light for my Bintel RC8

I have had this scope for quite a while now (a year) but had to wait until I assembled a new rig around it (CCDT67, OAG setup etc). Some new items and some pre-loved. This is a total of 3 hrs of 2 minute subs. My lum subs had strange stars so I didn't combine them with the RGB so for the moment it is I guess OSC. I will capture the L subs again when the moon settles back down and add them to the mix.
Very new to Pixinsight so processing is basic. I welcome all advice.

Not a bad halo around the galaxy, would be easier to push this data with more hours on it. Good effort for 3 hours.

Looks good Bruce.

I couldn't follow the capture details.
60X180" for each filter?

A tasty hamburger. Well done.

Funny Luminance star shapes should not be due to the moon. Something else must be going on.

Thanks Bart, yes more time was required, in fact I threw away the full 80 minutes of luminance subs.

Hi Peter, sorry My mistake. 20x120 for each filter (RGB). So not 3 hours, math was never a strong point for me. (2 hrs total).
Cheers,
Bruce.

Thanks Mike & Trish, it wasn’t due to the moon. I collected the data around new moon. It wasn’t until a few days ago that I had a chance to process them. Most of the L subs had bad stars (odd spikes and uneven), like jerky tracking. I will try to get a bunch of new L subs and combine them with this lot.

Thank for all to take the time to comment.
