Dear all,

I'm an international student just recently moved to Melbourne and looking for a Astro community to join.

My house is in Chelsea, VIC so could anyone here suggest me any astro community near my place? I have to rely on public transport so location is really matter to me.

Thanks

both are excellent clubs.

Hi all,

I'm planning a bbq on sat 14th dec at my place. A bit of a meet and greet affair, help put faces to names/avatars, nothing flash. Rock up when you can, leave when you must. Probably fire up the bbq around 6-7pm.

If you'd like to come along you'd be very welcome.

Cheers

Hi Bo, Thats a pity. What did you do. You must have been a really bad boy, that sounds like pretty sever punishment.

Hi Trev. Yes you would have/still are welcome to come along, questions and all. I'm very much a beginner myself.

Keep an eye on this thread as I often hold a session around the new moon weekends and post in here. Unfortunatly the weather often spoils things.

Cheers

Hi John
I'd be interested in any future get togethers, if any
I've also got a G11/g2, so it would be good to compare notes
Kinglake sounds like a great spot and it's not too far!
Clear skies

Hi Alistair.
i might be imaging, depending on clouds etc.
You should come, even if only for the bbq.

HI Domenic,
By all means, that would be good to compare. I'm sure we could both learn heaps from Martin. (I've heard he's a bit of a guru with 'em).
Yeah the skies are pretty good esp. pointing away from the sw.

Astronomical Societies in Melbourne and environs are listed on the Astronomical Society of Melbourne's webpage - http://www.astromelb.i.net.au/Links.htm

The list details all the local societies, plus there is of course the Astronomical Society of Melbourne itself whose web page you will be on - clear skies
