Yeah that's the big show galaxy in Antlia but it didn't speak to me, like IC 2531 did

Fair enough Mike -
it was just in case you were looking for another galaxy in that
area as it is high in the sky right now.

cheers

Lovely image and lovely thoughts Mike.

It will be Ben's Galaxy in my log book next time I go there.

Seeing this is Ben's Galaxy, here are some photos from the celebration of Ben's life at Eagleview...including me getting covered in his ashes and the panoramic view from his final resting place

There has been some lovely weather lately with lots of clear skies (of course!...it's Full Moon ) so we were lucky with the weather, clear for days leading up and after the event and partly cloudy during but no rain .

Beautiful... just beautiful Mike!

I can't imagine how difficult it was to image and process this, given the nature of the inspiration to do it.

At times like this we find solace and comfort in all sorts of things, it's weird 🙂

Hi Mike,

I haven't been on much lately although I did see this a while ago and I have struggled to find the words to convey my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

I love your galaxy image and dedication, it is wonderful.

Getting covered in his ashes definitely means he will always be a part of you.

All the best, mate. Keep doing what you do.

A great image to celebrate his life and remember him by. May he soar among those very same stars.
