M 45 (Pleiades)and Moon conjunction

WOW!,did everyone enjoy this lovely conjunction!

Personally,I found the view through 15 by 80 Vixen Binos on a tripod

most beautifull, and easily equal to coment Mc Naught,as a memorable

item.

Here are a few pics, that I took with Vixen ED 81 on alt-taz mount.

I had to move up the hill(,see pic),out of the observatory,it was windy

and no EQ mount,But I was happy with these images, and a few of set up for you.

I hope these are of interest.

cheers Chris PS,did anyone get any data on Atlas graze?I am still going through my pics.it looked close.

Hi Chris

A nice series – great to see the wide angle views as well as close up shots. Sigh, the beauty of country skies!

Cheers

Hi Chris

After dragging the GPDX out twice in the week, only to be thwarted by clouds, I didn’t even bother setting up for this event, although the W horizon is obscured by our house and trees anyway.

Cheers

Dennis

Nice shots Chris! It was great to watch wasn't it! I don't think we quite got the Atlas graze where I was.

Looking forward to the next one of these, in a couple of months (dawn on June 11th I think)

Cheers,
Stephen
