As advised (thanks Marc) I captured a whole night of O3 & S2 to add to an image posted in the beginners section.

This is now my 3rd SHO.
The journey has led to 'EZ Decon' and 'EZ Denoise' utilities in PI.
I don't know where they get the EZ from, they are so tedious...

Anyway, suggestions or thoughts most welcome.

Thanks for looking

Stats:
66x5m O3
66x5m S2
30x5m Ha
Total 13.5 hrs.

Yep, have to agree with Marc, pretty well Jesus Christ to a cross there.

A lovely looking Dendrobranchiata

Thanx Rod.
Regards bright colour, my intention was to bring out detail.
Things might settle down with more experience...

PS: The more I look, the more I can see the EMU. Well spotted!

Indeed, one of my favourites and peeling them always compels beer drinking, the association effect is very strong, same when standing at a BBQ and during processing ...strange

Wow, if this is a beginner shot imagine what you'll do when more experienced.

That's a high quality narrowband image.

That colour scheme of the golds is about the only other colour scheme I personally like for narrowband after the usual Hubble palette.

Greg.

Hi & thanks Greg.

After a few years of studying you 'guys n girls' I have learnt to be a good astrophotographer
requires dicipline, persistence, determination and...a slab of beer

You know Andy, all those years ago it was your 'Sunflowers' image (about 5 years ago) that got me started.

So there you go...

Thanks mate!

No room in our apartment really but there are several excellent hotels and serviced appartments within a hop skip and jump away, here in hipsterville, on the cullinary bevaholic civic fringe
