Florence and the machine ( coming to perth 7th November yay ) , Lana del Ray , Lorde , Sia. Was watching foxtels music channel Max with a segment about Sia, powerful voice , her video for the song breathe me is great I thought.

You should hear Ulrich Schnauss' remix of Breathe Me. I don't know if there's a proper version, but, I'll go take a look.

I love Ulrich's music, he's amazing. Of course, him giving me permission to use his music in a slideshow of my landscape photography has nothing to do with my appreciation of him!

Sadly, this is as close as I could get; the proper version is 7-minutes long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlHgjQMd5cE

Here, have some Grimes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtH68PJIQLE

Her voice...

And, live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ5XUw4qHZo

*sigh*

Gong sounds cool, might have to get a copy for in the car.

I was listening around the 18 minute mark on the second link and thinking the drumming reminded me of Bill Bruford in Yes. So I googled it! Funny that he was not on that album but the drumming style sounds so much like him.

Great band aren't they! I like them in both their phases; the older space-rock outfit when Daevid Allen was in the band and albums like 'Floating Anarchy' and 'Angel's Egg' and the latter more jazz-rock period you mentioned when Pierre Moerlen was leading the band. I've also realised there is a lot of stuff by 'Pierre Moerlen's Gong' which I must get around to hearing.

Paul, back in the 70's I used to reckon that the three best drummers getting around were Bill Bruford (Yes and King Crimson), Carl Palmer (ELP) and
Pierre Moerlen (Gong). I'd add a few more names now but those three are still right up there IMHO.

Ice In Space theme song

The Eagles - Seven Bridges Road

This ought to be the IIS theme music (well, if you listen to the opening lyrics).

Angels, any time, one of my favourites.

Today I'm listening/watching Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble Live at Montreaux 1982 & 1985.

After reading a biography of one of my all time favourite guitarist/songwriters (Bert Jansch), I discovered Jackson C. Frank and have been listening to his one and only album.
He turned up on the folk revival scene in Great Britain in the mid 60's, recorded the album and then disappeared.
This is a link to his 'The Blues Run The Game'.

And 'My Name Is Carnival'.

Trying to call up to see why something I bought off the forums recently is bouncing between VIC and NSW.
