Hi Mike,

That is one serious generator.

I have a 250kva generator at work which is powered by a straight 8 Cummins Deisel. It's worth about $150,000 and produces enough power to run everything in a club which can hold over 2,000 people, but compared to that one it is an absolute "toy".

Cheers,
John B

PS: I reckon you would even struggle to load that one in the car Mike

On a slightly different track, does anyone know where I can buy those small red-light bundles from? The ones we put around the kitchen, the poles outside, the toilets etc?

The ones we've had have served us well over the past 5 years but some of them are now dying and I want to replenish the stocks.

Let me know if you know where I can get them. I think the original ones were bought from some xmas supplies shop but I don't know if you can get them any other time.

They have some here, though I'm sure you can get them cheaper else where.

Geez whiz, it's September already, I'm surprised all the xmas decorations aren't out in the stores already. Must be nearly time to put the Easter Eggs out by now.

But seriously, ring up Bunnings, they may have some packed away out the back.

Thanks JJJ, we do have 1 red rope light, but it's not the rope lights I'm after.

They're little bundles (like with 10 globes), powered by 2x AA batteries.

A bit of both, houghy.

Dead batteries is fine - I replaced all of the batteries last year, but some of them just don't work anymore - bulbs gone etc.

Found these, could be ok:

Pretty pricey at $10 each.

It's been a while between drinks for me, so I'll ask what the road is like out to there at the moment? It will be absolute hell in my usual car if it's corrugated or rough at all - the suspension is ultra stiff. I might have to get the Landy back on the road.

Mike?
