Help with borrowed telescope

Hi all

I've managed to borrow a telescope from a relative but have no idea what it is and what I will be able to achieve with it. I've never used one before and still working out the bits and pieces.

Anyway, I've attached a photo and was wondering if someone will help me identify the kind of telescope it is. The Finder is labelled 6x30mm and the eyepiece "Plossl 25mm".

I guess my second question would be is will I be able to see anything decent with this other than just slightly bigger dots? By decent I don't mean deep space but at least our own solar system.

OK, I think I've found the details:
"200mm/8in objective diameter Newtonian reflector telescope with 800mm focal length,?4.0 ratio and 31.7mm barrel. Features 6x30 finderscope, equatorial mount with aluminium tripod, PL 9 and PL 25mm eyepieces"

Is this a really legacy scope or will it be fine for a beginner?

George I can't make any comment on whether or not the Optex has reasonable quality optics as I am just a newbie at this myself but I would go out and point that thing straight at Saturn without delay! Use the 25mm eyepiece for starters. Of course collimation is another issue but plenty on that in this forum.

Yeah I've just missed my chance on Saturn for the night, I'll give it a another go tomorrow.
