Memory for a canon 30D

What is the best way to go for astro work?
That type of CF memory.

If you use a laptop then straight to the laptop, so no card needed.

I found this site quite awhile back that has done speed tests on DSLR and memory cards.

The 30D is quite slow in write compared to the newer cameras but your value can depend upon the media used...

Anyway...FWIW.

David,

If you're using it for astrophotography, then, as suggested, tether to a notebook and download your images as you go.

Otherwise, any old SanDisk Ultra card will suit you fine. You can get 32 GB cards on the cheap nowadays.

One word, though, avoid buying cheapies off eBay. You will never get what you pay for.
