well its a day of firsts - first light with the qhy8

i loaded the drivers for qhy8 and software (nebulousity) and fired the first shots today. Man what a learning curve. i think i need to give it a clean LOL but here is a grey scale shot and a rgb colour composition LOL. I have a lot to learn.............................. .

i used a canon lens adapter and a stock 70-300 zoom lens (not zoomed of course)

complete with a few bok globs and some cometry debris. taken on the glasscase mount LOL

Silly bugger - now you really have opened up a new can of worms. Hope it all goes smoothly from here on in. They are a great camera bit make sure you keep them clean and moisture free. This willstop much angst in the field. Well dome on your first photo - it's actually focussed!

Yeah – there is some drift between the frames – poor polar alignment???
