Hi Folks,
Re: Travelling in a vehicle with Astro gear (Attached image).
I was in BCF the other day and noticed an Esky which would easily fit my Esprit 100 and peripherals (basically all equipment that sits on the Losmandy dovetail) I could retract the focus (shortening the length) and lift off the scope from the mount and place it in the Esky (
suitably padded). It would save so much time in the set-up and take-down process. It would also save travelling with multiple boxes (Scope, Camera, tube rings with attachments etc).
Is this a sensible idea or a risk to equipment? Has any one done this - would like to hear your thoughts and how you transport safely.
Thanks
Chris.
