A Homemade Super Wedge...

Hi Guys,
We had our 'W.A.A.C.ers' normal monthly meeting night last Thurday & one of our members had this to 'show n tell'.
I'm not sure if it's of interest to anyone, as most are already set-up, but I thought I'd post it here for your perusal & comments.
He has made a Super Wedge, very similar to the Meade variety & says it takes from 8" to 12" SCTs.
What do you all think? I say it's a pretty neat job for a mechanic.
Regards, L.

Wow that looks very impressive .....any chance of seeing a SCT set up on it , just trying to judge the difference in distance the tilt plate is from the point the wedge attaches to the tripod and the weight of it . Super handiwork , wish there was an Australian supplier that could do something like that , the cost from the US is prohibtive as is the waiting periods
