G'Day Tony,
The basic method is to open each of the images in PS.
Pick one image to start with then:
1. add an extra
layer (
Layer, New,
Layer).
2. Make the opacity = 100/n, where n is the number of photos stacked so far. i.e. for the second
layer (counting the background) opacity = 50%, for the third - opacity = 33%, etc.
3. Select the image you want to add to the stack, "select All, copy"... return to the first image and make sure you have the new
layer selected, then paste in the second image.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 till all the images are stacked.
Now if you have no image drift between frames, that will work OK. If the image moves from frame to frame, you will need to register each
layer with those below it. This is best done by Inverting the
layer, and dragging it until the appearance of the image is as close to uniform grey in colour as possible, then Invert the
layer back to normal.

Hope this helps.
Registax or Registar is often easier...
