I can see part of it when I sweep from gamma Vel to delta Vel with a UHC filter.
The large (85' x 22') dark
nebula nearly half way between gamma Vel and delta Vel is FeSt1-71. (It is 3.1 deg from gamma)
It was catalogued by Feitzinger and Stuwe in 1984.
