Another lunar test

Just to tease Peter Ward..
This image was captured last night in poor to mediocre seeing in low resolution mode (prime focus). It is part of a test for a 4 panel mosaic.

Peter, you need a big scope if you want to do hi res planetary, but I'm sure you know that.

Agreed, while the 6" AP is a fine scope, serious aperture always wins.

What CDK are you running?

Hi Peter,

I'm using a 16" plain Dall-Kirkham. It is one that I made myself and it has a primary focus of 6500mm.

cheers,
Stefan

Impressive!

My RCOS is under half that FL, and is currently not on the mount. Guess I'll have to amend that state of affairs
