Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their positive comments! It is very encouraging. I hope to add more data to this when am able to image again as I think I may have even stretched this one too much. Maybe another 20-30 5 minute subs will help.

Just wondered about the CLS filter - are you in a light-polluted area?
If so it's even more impressive.

Thanks pete,
Yes my light pollution is significant. without the LP filter, my images wash out
At about the 4 minute mark, losing data. Bit longer with the ED80 I have.
I'm sure others have it worse though.

How do you find processing your images after having used the CLS-CCD filter? I've recently acquired one myself and although I've only had one imaging session with it (M83) I feel a little bit like John Lennon - (Just Like) Starting Over... :-)

Thanks Paul.
In this image, I haven't really done anything special re the LP filter. I do a background neutralisation with PI, that gets rid of the excess red in the background, but if anything, I find it easier as there is much more contrast Than I used to get.

How do you find pixel insight compared with Photoshop for post DSS processing?

Hi Bo, I have been using PIxInsight for a few weeks now, so I'm still very new at it, but I really like it. Tools are great, but like most packages, there is a bit of a learning curve. There are a couple of websites like Harry's astro shed which have made it easier to transition though. Next I will try stacking in PI, see if it changes anything.
