From the front page:

2009 Jul 23 09:25 ( 216°) 19:21 ( 216°)

We are UT + 10, so that would equate to 19:25 (just passed) and 5:21am tomorrow morning

I've found some clear skies at last, now just have to wait for Jupiter to clear the walls of the observatory...

The Bird Strike will be crossing the CM at about 1am AEST tonight/tomorrow morning.

The weather forecast is looking clear - hopefully i'll finally be able to get my first image of it.

Yep, used the front page timings this morning.

I was up imaging until about 11pm, when my giude star lost brightness, i.e. it got cloudy. As this wasn't supposed to happen I packed up and didn't set the alarm for 4am as I was planning to do.

Anyway, at 3.57am I woke up, for no reason I can think of, but once I checked the time I decided to get up and have a look anyway. I was rewarded with the sight of the brid strike coming around the limb of the planet. Seeing was OK, so I have several avi's to process tonight. Imaged until abour 5.30, then got too cold and piked it, turned the electric blanket on and tried to get some more sleep.

Only thing was I was obviously a bit excited, so didn't get much sleep anyway. Today is dragging a bit, might have to go home early!

Also saw a nice meteor virtually at Zenith just after I got outside.

Did I mention how much I love having a permanent setup and an observatory?

Cheers
Stuart
