There is only one - "The Plank" 1967. The 1979 remake was also fine.

Agreed. I'm betting there's one pic that will never be taken .....Mr Ward planked out on the wing of a Qantas Jet, grounded of course or will it? What about a superimposed plank in the Orion Nebula? that that might be an award winning pic in the Malins.....topical section.

That's a very heavy wave...even if it does form a tube lower down, you're going to get a big wall of water come over the top. Get caught under that and you'll be in big trouble.

OK, now you have all had a go at the planking craze, and to most it is harmless silliness of the younger generation, if performed safely.

Now to all you others who have dubbed this to be the stupidest, unsafest and ridiculous thing you have seen.

"Fess up", what dangerous and stupid things did you do when you were young and no one was looking.

Well I rode untamed horses, through the bush, bareback when I was 12 years old, with my older brothers. Made cubby houses in the bush, got tied up inside, and my brothers torched it, and then rescued me whilst playing Cowboys in the Bush.

Made canoes out of old sheets of Galvanized tin and paddled around the two dams we had and sunk many, and I could not even swim then.

Now you guys have a go.

Leon

A good point Leon

I remember building Billy cart with 12' push bike wheels so they would go faster, Brakes were a optional extra rarely thought of.

I can still remember some big busters with letterboxes and peoples hedges at breakneck speeds and walking away with some nasty cuts and scrapes.
