Hey Lismore Bloke,

L M. You're not wrong there. The girls plotted agin me. Smashed me to atoms. . I survived to tell the tale.
I've been doing my best to rejuvinate and recharge.. Been juggling appointments, between parties Am now back to full capacity. Where do we go
from here. I'm not mad, just hell bent on revenge. Hee Hee.

Dad said I still don't have enough brownie points up yet. Getting there. So jjj and Green Queen just you wait.

Cheers Marty

Just came in from a couple of hours outside with the 12" dob. Cursing the mozzies, cursing the clouds that materialised, then went, then came back.
Lots of moisture in the atmosphere, tube was quite wet. Viewfinder fogged up, telrad even worse. Both mirrors clear as a bell though. Seeing was damn good apart from that grizzle about fogging. How do you stop a telrad from fogging, apart from blasting it with a hair dryer, as some guys do????

Had some good views of a few favourites, Eta Car, Omega, 5128, blue planetary etc. Saturn was excellent. Even used the 9mm GSO Plossl in the 2x barlow, so can't complain about the seeing. Quite steady all things considered. I just wish the weather patterns would change and dry out. Like most amateur astro's in the eastern third of Oz, I am suffering from scope deprivation!!!

Tonight has been fantastic. Clear and dark with the best seeing we've had in many months.
It's been great to connect with the Universe once again.

Yes, jjj,I was surprised at how steady the atmosphere was, and how much magnification it would stand. Especially after the recent lousy weather. We spent Easter with family at Hervey Bay, fortunately missed the worst of that dumping rain coming back. Lots of flooded creeks and paddocks. Better make the most of the viewing while it lasts!!!. Cheers, Paul.

Hey all,
I missed the opportunity. I checked the sky early and saw thin cloud.
Too Hazy. Retired to rejuvenate the nerve endings begging for the red liquid.

Looked outside. Damn! Bu... r... It was clear. Not Fair.

Tonight I take Her ladyship out for dinner. Clear sky again.

Here's hoping.

I visited York Optical. I may have to confess. Have to go.

Cheers Marty

Just had 264 mm rain over the Easter period, and a week of cloudy skies prior to that. Poked my head out a few minutes ago and saw something twinkling ....Gotta go, it looks like some stars are showing.

Cheers, Bobj.

Just had a nice clear night a couple of days ago - too bad there was a full moon and I was drunk. Had there been no full moon, I will have infact remained somewhat sober and made full use of the opportunity....

Hey guys, the moon is rising later, time for a few hours of viewing, weather permitting. Good galaxy hunting weather in Leo, Virgo, Corvus etc etc etc.

Hey Marki, keep your cloud over there in WA, or send it down to Jen!!! She is having far too much good scope weather. They're all dying of thirst down in Vic. We have just had the first cool south-westerly weather pattern, YAY!!!
Hope it blows away all the rotten cloud, rotten rain and rotten mossies.

Had a beautiful clear night here last night - not a cloud in the (dark) sky, good seeing, nice and still, kids at grandparents, hubbie (Frank) away for the weekend. But of course I have been struck down by the plague again and was tucked up unconscious by 10pm feeling rather sorry for myself!! Blooming germs!

I'll drink to that Trevor, especially since it's all that western oz cloud that we're getting now.
