I've got a few of the RCW objects including this one on my to do list, but considering their nature, it is going to have to wait till I have a modded 450D. Maybe you can buy one and sell it to me before it arrives

I understand your comment about the dim surface, it sure makes for challenging processing.

It shows clearly how it appeared to Colin Gum c.s as three separate objects (Gum 22/23/24), and to RCW as one, separated by a dark cloud.

I guess it is only 'Not a common object to image' because it is in the Southern sky , but your image proves the effort is worth it....

Nice Eric, lovely colors! I like the way you are processing your images lately, they seem so vibrant but very natural...

A fascinating subject Eric, this must have been a very dim object to capture as you say but you have done a very good job with it.

Cheers

Not common indeed Eric, nice one. The neb looks clipped, but then again if its dim, what can you do?. Not a lot of noise there so processing seems to be a happy compromise.

Many thanks Ric. yes the surface area is very dim. with your DSI Pro II and the H-Alpha filter, you should be able to get quite alot of photons with this object

Hi Eric, I may have to give it a try. Unfortunately it's cloud city up here at the moment, very annoying with all this free time over Easter.

Cheers

I need a filter that cuts through the clouds though

The first person to invent that will be a very rich and famous person indeed.
