For the telescope owners: do everyone bring their own power supply? Are there inherent power sources at the location?
For the astronomy imagers: Is there a specified sub-location that the imagers will gather, so that the others will not "disturb" imaging-in-progress activities? Are there solar imagers planning to do hydrogen alpha captures in the daytime?
Pardon me for asking so many questions! This is getting all too exciting! :-)

Mostly people will bring their own power supply, however if you're close to the bottom house there will be 240v power available. Make sure you bring some long extension leads and maybe a power board. There may be quite a few imagers looking to share the power supply. Also i'm not sure what plugs you have in Singapore, so you may need an adapter of some kind?

Not specifically designated, however I would expect that most of the imagers will set up around the bottom house, for the reasons specified above (power). Plus, it means it's not intrusive to those doing visual observing, who will mostly be down on the lower camping field.

I reckon there'll be a few PST's and other solar filters for sure, and i'm sure some of them will be doing some imaging.
Just over a month away now, i'm getting excited too!
Australian Sky & Telescope have come onboard as a sponsor and are donating 3 sets of Australian Sky & Telescope Magazine 1-yr Subscription + S&T Pocket Sky Atlas, (valued at $85 each) , as a prize to the lucky door prize competition.
Mike, is there power at the top house? I'm thinking that I might go up there this time so I don't cause light pollution for the others around the bottom house.
Yes, there's power up there too. However I'm thinking that the whole bottom house fenced area will be designated as an imaging area, and that visual observers would be best to setup on the bottom camping field.
So you shouldn't need to be by yourself up at the top house.
Ok, I'm cool with whatever arrangement you like - last year we (Marcus and me) caused quite a bit of light pollution that annoyed those around us. I'd like to avoid that this time.
I also wondered if the top house might be a bit further away from the fog etc coming off the river since it's a bit higher?
Well my father booked a flight down from Brisbane for that weekend so I thought it was about time I registered for IIS Astrocamp. Add 2 more people to the list! This will be my first time out to a dark site to play with my new 10" scope, I can't wait!
Just something to note, as a few people have asked:
Please don't expect to hear from me regarding your booking - that is, I won't send any confirmation emails once i've received your payment etc.
It's just not practical for me to contact everyone individually.
If you got the confirmation email once your booking was placed, then your booking is in the system. If you see your name in the list of attendees, then your booking is in, and I've marked next to it whether i've received your payment.
Generally you'll only hear from me if there's a problem with your booking, or if I haven't received your payment before the event.
Having said all that, please feel free to contact me if you've got any questions and i'll happily answer them.
Hi Mike
What time can people start arriving on the Thursday?
Hi Charsiubau,
Any time from midday would be ok. Most of the organising committee will be there from around 9am, so you can get there earlier if you like, but we'll still be setting everything up so there may not be anyone on the front desk to mark you off and give you your raffle tickets etc.
But a lot of people will go and setup camp etc first, so do whatever suits you.
Mike, On the booking form there's a spot to fill in what equipment you are bringing, I though it might be of interest to post a list so people can get an idea of what they can get to look at/through, or to save you time maybe people can post.
I didnt fill it in on the form so heres mine, same as at Snake Valley, ED80 and ProMak180 parallel mounted on an EQ6.

Mike, I guess we'll have the deep-sky imagers in a different part of the field to the planetary imagers? The planetary people tend to have laptops and create a fair bit of light pollution...
