This thread for full mosaic.

This is the first half of the mosaic enhanced with HA and O3.

All data both colour and narrow band were collected to make final HDR images so attempting to retain dynamic range.

Looks finely detailed Bert, like a schmidt plate, I Love the miriad of isolated HII regions a wide shot like this shows.

Getting a proper tri-chromatic colour would look better IMO though, the bi-chromatic look detracts just a bit for me.

Nice work though

Mike

Bert,

Not bad, but it looks like a "minimum" PS filter has been used to smooth the image, sadly this detracts from natural looking stars, which also show very little colour variation and are nearly all saturated to white.

Greg's recent rendition is a great paradigm of what I'm alluding to here.

Also there is a significant background red cast over most of your image which you might want to work on.

Stick with it!

I was not going to put too much effort into processing the LMC image until I had all the data for the other half.
The weather looks poor for some time so I did this.

I am sure it can be improved. But this is a reasonable result for a 300mm lens at f/2.8 from a light polluted site. I may put up the full res tiff image (70MB) and see what all the experts and budding experts can come up with.

Meanwhile have a bit of a look!
