NGC7331 Deer Lick Group and IFN

Hi All,

One year ago I take a picture ,for the first time, of NGC 7331. Stretching the image, I noticed that there was a a kind of nebulosity. At the time I did not get good flat, so I could not understand what it was. I did see the picture a few friends, but this is not really well known IFN. I did not waste the picture so I begins to search the web and found one made by Ken Crawford. So I tried to push up the exposures with my 8 inch and I processed the image with a my friend Stefano. This is the result.
I would like to share with you :-)

Cheers,

Fabiomax

Hi Fabio,
Great result, I love the color and as you pointed out, the amount of nebulosity present in the field.
The details on NGC7331, the other galaxies of the cluster and the star color make it a superb image.

Congratulations !!

Fernando

Fabio
A beautiful image and your web site is also very interesting and I had a look at your processing using Iris. Very instructive and useful.
Congratulations.

That really is an awesome galaxy grouping Fabio. Shame it is a bit low for us down here to do it justice, although I ahve imaged it many years ago with my 12"LX200 but it was very low in the sky. That galactic cirrus is everywhere really. In the past it either wasn't recorded or when it was people didn't really know what it was and often mistakened it for gradients in the image and just processed it out

Lovely result

Mike
